Languedoc and its nature

Languedoc is France’s booming tourism region. Traditionally over-shadowed by the “bling bling” of Provence, Languedoc is finally coming into its own in terms of tourism.

French, German, British and Dutch tourists are pouring into the area, lured by superb weather, fantastic nature, numerous historical sites, and beautiful beaches combined with a relatively untouched countryside.

With so much sunshine and such varied terrain, Languedoc is a mecca for those looking to experience its fantastic nature. The region’s varied and rugged terrain means there are many “natural” sights on offer, from Camarque, with its flamingos and wild horses, to spectacular caves to bizarre “Orgues de Roussillion”.
